Prof. Altintas’ book’s “Manufacturing Automation” second edition has been published

Prof. Altintas was invited to give a talk on Virtual Machining Research at UBC and NSERC CANRIMT Network.
The talk was attended by the executives of Taiwanese Machine Tool Companies. The talk was followed by the future research directions and possible collaboration activities between NSERC CANRIMT and Taiwanese Machine Tool Industry. Date: Nov. 26, 2011 www.pmc.org.tw

Prof. Altintas gave one week long advanced machining principles course to the senior machine tool design engineers in Taiwan.
The course was organized by Precision Machinery Research & Development Center (Taiwan www.pmc.org.tw) and took place between November 21-25, 2011.

Prof. Altintas is demonstrating modal testing and chatter avoidance methods on the machine. (PMC – Taiwan, Nov. 20, 2011).

Prof. Alintas gave research lecture on Virtual Machining to Chung Cheng University Faculty and Graduate Students (Date: August 11, 2011).

Prof. Altintas demonstrated the chatter avoidance on a high speed machining center using a closed circuit TV to 180 engineers.

Prof. Altintas was invited by Taiwanese Universities and Industry to give a talk on Science Based Virtual Machining.
He summarized his research activities on the mechanics, dynamics, and control of machining processes and machine tool structural analysis from UBC. The talk was attended by about 180 practicing engineers. Date: August 10, 2010 Taijung City, Taiwan.
